Louis Vuitton are commemorating the 40th anniversary of man's conquest of the Moon in their latest ad campaign. The second man to set foot on the Moon, astronaut Buzz Aldrin is the face of a new LV global ad campagin, along with his fellow space travellers Sally Ride and Jim Lovell. The ad was shot in the Californian desert by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.


The ad is part of an ongoing campaign produced by Ogilvy & Mather, aiming to reinstate travel as the core value of the Louis Vuitton brand. Simultaneously, in its first integrated press and digital advertising campaign, Louis Vuitton is launching a dedicated website louisvuittonjourneys.com, on which Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell and Sally Ride discuss how the experience of space changed their lives; the site will launch worldwide on July 2nd.

Buzz will be joining the likes of Rolling Stone Keith Richards, former 007 Sean Connery and father-daughter director-duo Francis Ford and Sofia Coppola, who have graced LV's core values ads recently.
